On April 8, 2009, American Safety and Health Institute announced a change to Student Certification Cards available to Training Centers. Beginning May 4, 2009, Certification Cards for ASHI programs will include access to a Digital Student Handbook and ASHI LearningLinks.
ASHI Training Centers now have two options for purchasing enhanced certification materials for their students:
1) Enhanced Student Certification Cards – much like before, but each card now includes a unique access code to a Digital Student Handbook and LearningLinks. Available in sheets of five cards.
2) Student Packs – includes a printed Student Handbook along with the certification card, Digital Student Handbook, and LearningLinks. Available in packs of five.

ASHI programs with Digital Students Handbooks are: • Basic First Aid for the Community and Workplace (Available Now!) • CPR and AED for the Community and Workplace (Available Now!) • CPR Pro for the Professional Rescuer • Bloodborne Pathogens • Emergency Oxygen Administration • Emergency Medical Response for Adults in the Workplace
American Safety & Health Institute believes strongly in that all students have access to reference materials both during and after classes. So much so that this requirement is currently covered in the Training Center Administrative Manual, which contains our Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance (TCAM-SGQA): “All students certified in ASHI programs must have unrestricted access to ASHI student handbooks during and after class for the duration of their certification period.”
